The blue plastic tarp you hid in your locker serves more than just an emergency roof patch.
1. Water collection: Pour rainwater into the water supply bucket. A small storm in a 5×7 tarp can produce several gallons of water.
2. Rescue Stretcher: Use a parachute rope and two long poles to make a stretcher to carry an injured teammate.
3. Strapper’s Pleasure: To make a makeshift trailer strap, screw on and roll up a large blue tarp. knot at the end. It is strong enough to pull an ATV.
4. Chilling: Pack wild deer in ice packs and wrap twice in blue tarp to keep carcasses cool.
5. Relax: Temporarily assemble the canvas hammock by gathering the ends into a J shape and securing with a knot in the bend of the sheet. Tie to a pole or tree.
6. Private event: create a canvas shower. Tie end grommets to overhanging branches along the short sides of the tarp to create a U-shaped curtain. Hang the hose over your head.
7. Float: Build a garbage raft. Wind brushes, seedlings and creepers in the shape of a large donut. Lay on top of the tarp, tie the corners and wrap with wire to secure.
